What is Genesis?

Genesis is a non-invasive laser treatment that uses Nd

laser technology to treat a variety of skin concerns. It's primarily used for improving skin texture, reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and large pores, as well as targeting redness, uneven skin tone, and acne scars. The procedure is popular for its ability to rejuvenate skin without downtime.

How Does Genesis (Laser) Work?

The Genesis laser works by emitting a specific wavelength of laser light (1064nm) that penetrates deep into the skin, gently heating the dermis. This stimulates collagen production, which leads to improved skin texture and tone. The laser also targets the small blood vessels that cause redness and rosacea, improving the overall appearance of the skin.

Procedure Duration:

A typical Genesis laser treatment session lasts about 15-20 minutes. Depending on the area being treated, the session could be shorter or slightly longer, but the treatment is designed to be quick and convenient, often referred to as a lunchtime procedure.

 

Post-Care Instructions:

• Avoid sun exposure and wear broad-spectrum sunscreen daily.

• Hydrate the skin and use a gentle moisturizer as needed.

• Avoid exfoliating products like retinoids or AHAs for a few days after the treatment.

• Stay away from intense heat sources (like saunas or hot baths) for at least 24-48 hours.

• Light makeup can be worn immediately, but avoid heavy, full-coverage products.

Results and Recovery:

• Minimal to no downtime: You can return to normal activities immediately after the procedure.

• Initial results may be visible within a week, but the best results develop gradually over 4 to 6 weeks as collagen production increases.

• For optimal results, a series of 5-10 sessions is recommended, spaced about 2-4 weeks apart.

• The skin will look brighter and more refreshed with a smoother texture.
